This is a 25 year old single grain Scotch whisky from Cambus, a Lowland distillery in a village of the same name near Alloa. It was distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2018 by That Boutique-y Whisky Company at 50.1% ABV, in a 50cl bottle. It comes from Batch 5, a release of 349 bottles. Cambus opened in 1836 and closed in 1993. Much of its grain whisky went into blends. The label shows a snowy day by the Cambus iron bridge. The nose is cooked apple, porridge and Dairy Milk Fruit & Nut, with honeycomb and raspberry beneath, and creamy vanilla and allspice emerging with time. The palate brings summer fruit boiled sweets, Werther's Originals and acacia honey, with vanilla, red fruit and firm oak. The finish dries, with oak spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
