CRN57 is a 12 year old blended malt from The Cairn Distillery, in a 70cl bottle. It is presented as a first taste of the character intended to define the distillery's future single malts.
The nose offers red apples, cinnamon and cloves, with orange marmalade and roasted walnuts. The palate is sweet and spicy, with raspberry, apple, a touch of pepper and tangy chocolate orange. The finish is fruity with spicy oak.
It can be drunk neat or over ice, or mixed with cloudy apple juice and ginger ale.
