The Deacon is a blended Scotch whisky from Pernod Ricard, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It joins peated malts from Islay with lightly peated malts from Speyside. It has been part of the company's super-premium range since 2023 and was developed with Sovereign Brands. The bottle is made to echo the shine of traditional copper stills.
The nose is burnt orange, sweet malty pastry and wood smoke. The palate brings juicy orange with delicate spices and a hint of peat. The finish is long, sweet and smoky, fading gently.
