The Deacon is a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It combines peated whisky from Islay with malty spirit from Speyside, matured in oak casks.
The name comes from an old Scottish term for a skilled craftsman or master of a trade.
The nose has campfire smoke and toasted oak with honey and orchard fruit. The palate is rich, with sweet malt, charred wood and subtle spice over a gentle smokiness. The finish is long and warming, with sweet peat and oak.
