The Famous Grouse 30 Year Old is an aged blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle.
Mathew Gloag created the blend in 1896, and it was first called the Grouse Blend. The 'Famous' prefix was added in 1905 after the brand's success. It is owned by the Edrington Group, alongside Highland Park and Macallan, and received the Royal Warrant in 1984.
The blenders work to four principles: foundation, finest, flavour and fusion.
