The Famous Grouse Mellow Gold (1L, 40%)

The Famous Grouse Mellow Gold is a blended Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% in a 1 litre bottle. The Famous Grouse blend goes back to Matthew Gloag, grandson of the founder, who took over the family firm 96 years after it was founded in 1800. He created a new blend and called it The Grouse Brand, expecting hunters to stop in Perth during the shooting season. His daughter designed the label showing Scotland's national bird. It sold so well that within a few years 'The Famous' was added to the name and 'Brand' dropped.
