A blended Scotch whisky made entirely from malt, with Highland Park, Glenturret, Glenrothes and Macallan as its core components. The brand began as a grain whisky and moved to all-malt in 2017.
The blend was matured in first-fill and refill American and European oak casks, then finished for a further six months in first-fill oloroso sherry butts. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, and the colour is a deep amber-gold.
Sherry leads the nose, with a little sulphur and gingery warmth. The palate builds spice and concentration, and the finish is biscuity and crisp, with light dried fruits, bitter chocolate and fresh peel.
