The GlenAllachie 21 Year Old Batch 3 is a single malt put together by Master Blender Billy Walker from whiskies in three Pedro Ximénez puncheons, made from vintage Spanish sherry oak. It is bottled at a cask strength of 51.5%, with no added colour and without chill-filtration, in a release of 2,400 bottles.
The nose brings black grapes, raisins and dark chocolate orange, with coffee, stewed fruits and treacle. Heather honey, cocoa-dusted truffles and sultanas lead the palate, followed by espresso, mixed currants and brandy butter, with gingersnaps on the finish.
