A twelve-year-old Glenlivet from the 1990s, presented in its original tube. The colour is light gold.
The nose starts dry and a little smoky, with overripe apples, hay, cigars and walnuts, followed by toasted oak, roasted nuts and honey cake.
The palate is big, with tart apples, grapefruit skin and candy sugar, moving to apple crumble and strong tea after a few minutes. The finish is long and ample, with liquorice and more tea.
