The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Illicit Still is a Speyside whisky bottled at 48% without chill-filtering.
It recalls the time before the founder, George Smith, licensed his distillery, when the Livet valley and places like it suited illegal distilling. Small stills were used and kept well hidden from the law.
The distillery draws on mineral-rich water from the Josie spring and distils in tall, elegant stills, which together shape its fruity Speyside character.
