The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Licensed Dram is a limited edition in the Original Stories series, inspired by the first Glenlivet whisky of 1823. It pays tribute to the founder, George Smith, one of the first people in Scotland to receive a distilling licence.
It is a vatting of whiskies matured in first-fill American oak and first-fill European oak, bottled at 48% without chill-filtering, as was usual at the time. The distillery was the first in Speyside to be licensed, in 1823.
