This is The Glenlivet 12 year old, a pure malt bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle for the French market. It carries a French slip label, and imports of this bottling were handled by Barton & Guestier.
The colour is full gold. The nose offers green apples, vanilla, yellow plum and warm pastry with a hint of peat. The palate is bold and firm, smoky and raisiny, with marmalade, honey, baklava and marzipan. The finish is very long, with more marmalade and baklava, and lingering raisins, apples and a touch of pepper.
