The Glenlivet 15 Year Old French Oak Reserve is a Speyside single malt matured for 15 years, with part of the whisky aged in French Limousin oak casks.
Limousin oak is traditionally associated with the maturation of Cognac. Here it adds depth, richer oak flavours and spice to the fruity character of The Glenlivet.
On the palate, mellow orchard fruits and gentle sweetness mix with toasted almonds, cinnamon and winter spices, along with creamy vanilla and seasoned oak. The finish is smooth and lingering, with a balance of fruit and spice.
