The Glenlivet – 18 Years Old (70cl, 43%)

The Glenlivet 18 Years Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It spent 18 years maturing in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon casks and European oak ex-sherry casks, with the sherry casks adding sweetness and roundness. The nose is rich with dried fruit, orange peel and spiced oak, a slight floral note, nutmeg and toffee. On the palate there are raisins, caramel and ripe pears with a gentle peppery oak edge. The finish is long and warm, with sweet spices and nuts.
