The Glenrothes 2001 Vintage is a Speyside single malt from the Glenrothes Distillery in Rothes, bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd at 43% abv in a 750ml bottle. The whisky was distilled in 2001 and released in batches between 2012 and 2017.
It matured in a combination of American oak and Spanish oak casks.
The nose combines lemon meringue pie, sandalwood, ripe black cherries, oaky vanilla, leather, subtle peat and gentle baking spice. The palate is creamy, with nutmeg-topped cream, citrus peel and red berries. The finish is long, sweet and spicy.
