The Glenrothes – 33 Years 1987 Single Cask #9034 Prestige Edition No.1 (70cl, 55.2%)

This is a 33-year-old single cask Speyside malt from The Glenrothes, part of its Prestige Edition. The cask was filled in 1987 and the whisky bottled in 2021 at a cask strength of 55.2% ABV. It matured in a refill hogshead and yielded 235 bottles, each individually numbered. The colour comes only from the cask, with no additives. The bottle comes in an oak box with black leather, an oak plinth and leather coasters. The nose is creamy white chocolate with sweet dried cranberries and a hint of coconut. The palate is creamy vanilla, sweet fruit and light oak, and the finish is delicate, with aromatic fruit sweetness.
