The Lakes Distillery – The One Colheita Cask Finished (70cl, 46.6%)

The One Colheita Cask Finished is a blended whisky from The Lakes Distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 46.6%. It is bottled without colouring or chill filtration. The blend marries The Lakes spirit with selected single malt and grain whiskies from Islay, Speyside and the Highlands, and is then finished in Colheita port casks for an extra layer of fruit. Colheita is the Portuguese word for 'harvest'. The nose offers peach cobbler, fresh apricots and a whiff of autumnal smoke. On the palate come ripe plums, vanilla custard and warming cinnamon, and the finish is rich and comforting.
