The Lakes Distillery – The One Moscatel Cask Finish (70cl)

The One Moscatel is a blended whisky built around The Lakes Single Malt, combined with Scotch grain and malt whiskies from the Highlands, Speyside and Islay. It is finished in Moscatel wine casks from southern Spain, made with sun-dried grapes from Chipiona in the Cadiz province. The wine is similar in style to PX, though less sweet. It is non-chill filtered and natural in colour, comes in a 70cl bottle, and can be taken neat, with a few drops of water or topped with soda as a highball. The nose has jasmine, honeyed fruits and a hint of sweet wood smoke. The palate is citrus with vanilla and manuka honey. The finish is creamy and lingering.
