The Lakes Distillery – Whiskymaker's Reserve Kairos Single Malt Whisky (46.6%)

Kairos is an English single malt from The Lakes Distillery, near Bassenthwaite Lake in Cumbria. It is a limited edition in the Whiskymaker's Editions series, released in October 2023 as a UK distillery exclusive. The name comes from the ancient Greek idea of the right or opportune moment. It is bottled at 46.6% ABV, non-chill filtered and at natural colour. The nose has sherry-soaked spiced sultanas, fragrant sandalwood and a dusting of cocoa powder. The palate balances dry and sweet, with dried apple, light treacle, polished oak and sweet spice. The finish is warming and persistent, with gentle spice and wood.
