The Lakes Whiskymaker's Editions Sequoia (70cl)

Sequoia is a Whiskymaker's Edition from The Lakes Distillery in Cumbria, first launched in 2021. It takes its inspiration from the landscape of North California's wine country. The whisky draws on a varied mix of cask types and is shaped by blending, which gives it a character quite different from most red wine influenced whiskies. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. As a Whiskymaker's Edition, it departs from the sherry-led house style of The Lakes. Redcurrants lead on both nose and palate, followed by spiced chocolate, red grapes and dried fruits, with butterscotch, fig and cinnamon alongside.
