The Lakes Whiskymaker's Reserve No. 6 is a single malt from a series that explores the distillery's sherried style, with the whiskymaker shaping each release. It was matured in Oloroso and PX casks, with a smaller share of red wine casks, all chosen by the whiskymaker.
The nose is rich and aromatic, with oriental spices, marzipan, rosewater, candied ginger and polished wood. The palate is soft, with sun-dried dates, toasted tea cake and light spice. The finish is rich and complex, with spice that lingers.
