The Lochend Blend Vol. IV is a blended malt from Blind Summit Whisky, matured in Oloroso sherry and bottled at 46.8% ABV in a 50cl bottle. Only 520 bottles were released.
Glen Moray forms the base of the blend, with Glenrothes, Highland Park, Tomintoul and Ledaig added.
The nose has baked apples, plump stone fruit, toasted hazelnuts and milk chocolate. The palate is juicy and generous, with toffee apples and apple pie over gently charred oak, and the finish warms to a gentle pepper.
