The Macallan 10 Year Old Sherry Oak Cask is a Speyside single malt from the early 2000s. It has a pale gold colour.
The nose brings sweet toffee with dried fruits and sherry, alongside orange oil, brown butter, strawberry cream and tart raspberry. On the palate it is smooth, with dried fruit, sherry sweetness and wood smoke. It starts spicier than expected, with a slight acetone note, before settling into a modern sherry style. The finish carries dried fruits, sweet toffee and wood spice, with some drying, astringent notes.
