This is a 12 year old single malt from Macallan, sold in a 70cl bottle as the 2019 Special Edition of the Double Cask.
It is matured in a mix of American and European sherry oak. The balance leans towards American oak ex-sherry casks, a larger share than in the Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak.
In the glass it is classic dried fruit territory, though a little less intense than the Sherry Oak expression.
