The Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask is the 2021 edition from the Year of the Ox collection, a limited release in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in a combination of European and American oak casks. The two woods are said to balance one another, giving a smooth, approachable dram with depth.
It is described as having rich dried fruits, subtle spice and warm oak.
