This is The Macallan 12 Year Old, a Speyside single malt aged in sherry casks, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings dried fruits, hazelnuts and marzipan, with hints of dark chocolate and vanilla. On the palate it is smooth and full-bodied, with pronounced hazelnut and cocoa, light spice and a touch of cinnamon. The finish is long and warming, with lingering oak and malt sweetness.
