A Macallan single malt matured for 18 years in sherry oak casks, from the 2022 release of the annual Sherry Oak series. The casks shaped its colour as well as its flavour, giving a fine mahogany tone. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
Ginger, raisins and oak are the notes most closely tied to this release. The nose brings dried fruit, ginger, vanilla and cinnamon. The palate is soft and spicy, with clove, raisin, orange and ripe oak, and the finish is long, with dried fruit and orange.
