This is The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak, a Speyside single malt bottled in 2021 for the annual release. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 43% abv.
The whisky spent its whole maturation in oloroso seasoned oak casks from Jerez in Spain. The long time in these casks lets the character of the sherry and the wood come through, alongside the fruity, full-bodied new-make spirit of The Macallan.
