The Macallan – 30 Year Old Sherry Oak 2022 Release (70cl, 43%)

This is a 30 year old single malt from The Macallan, part of its Sherry Oak range. The 2022 release is bottled at 43% vol. in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured for 30 years in oak casks from Jerez in Spain, which previously held Oloroso sherry. It has a dark mahogany colour. The nose combines sherry, orange, clove and nutmeg with smoke and wood. On the palate it is soft, with dried fruit, sherry, orange, smoke and wood. The finish is long and intense, with orange and spice.
