The Macallan A Night On Earth In Scotland is a single malt made around Hogmanay. It is a vatting of American and European oak sherry-seasoned casks with American ex-bourbon barrels, and it takes its shortbread-like character from the traditional Scottish treat eaten at New Year. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The box carries abstract designs by Erica Dorn.
The colour is warm ember. The nose offers vanilla, butter, baked apple, baking biscuits, plum and almond. The palate is soft, velvety and sweet, with vanilla, lightly toasted marshmallow, dried orange, fig and cinnamon. The finish is medium.
