The Macallan Aera is a single malt bottled at 40% and released exclusively for Taiwan. It was aged in a combination of European and American oak casks.
This marks a move away from maturing solely in sherry casks, a direction Macallan has been taking recently, though the signature sherried style remains clearly present in the glass.
