This is the eighth release in The Macallan Archival Series, a single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The edition commemorates a 1980s advertisement called 'The Colossus of Nose', which made a playful reference to the aroma of The Macallan, the malt known as the King of Malts.
The nose brings ripe dried fruits, sweet berry compote with toffee, lemon peel, cinnamon and a hint of anise. Ginger, a burst of citrus and sweet oak follow on the palate, and the long, rich finish carries sweet oak spices.
