The Macallan – Classic Cut 2021 Edition Cask Strength (70cl, 51%)

This is the 2021 Edition of The Macallan Classic Cut, a cask strength single malt bottled at 51% in a 70cl bottle. It was put together by the Whisky Mastery Team to show the part ex-bourbon American oak casks play in The Macallan's range. The whisky combines the sweet lightness of those ex-bourbon casks with the depth of sherry seasoned American oak. It is natural in colour, a golden oak shade. On the nose there is orange zest and oil, fresh vanilla and ginger, with fruit jellies and marzipan. The palate brings fresh oak, gingerbread, vanilla custard and cinnamon, and the finish is medium sweet with spiced fruit.
