The ninth release in The Macallan's annual Classic Cut series, a Speyside single malt bottled at the Whisky Maker's preferred strength of 50.6% ABV (101.2 proof) in a 750ml bottle. The cask mix and strength change with each edition.
This edition was released in July 2025 and matured in sherry seasoned European oak, sherry seasoned American oak and ex-bourbon casks.
At full strength it shows velvety milk chocolate and orange zest. With water added to 40% ABV, grapefruit and creamy vanilla panna cotta come through, and a further cut to 20% brings out crisp apple and lemon zest.
