The Macallan Concept Number 2 is a 2019 limited edition single malt from Speyside, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is the second release in the Concept Series, inspired by the parallels between whisky making and music production and developed by Macallan whisky maker Steven Bremner, who is also a house music DJ.
The whisky is matured in sherry-seasoned American oak casks, Miguel Martin sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks.
The nose offers toffee apple, vanilla, blackberry, oak spice and nutmeg, with hints of rose water and pistachio. The palate brings toffee, dried apple, roasted almond and cinnamon, and the finish is medium-sweet with delicate spice, soft oak and toffee.
