The Macallan Double Cask 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Double Cask range, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The range pairs the classic Macallan style with the sweetness of American oak.
The colour is described as harvest sun. The nose has creamy butterscotch, toffee apple, candied orange, vanilla custard and freshly cut oak. On the palate it is honeyed, with wood spices, citrus, raisins and caramel. The finish is warm, sweet and drying, with oak lingering.
