The Macallan Edition No. 1 is the first expression in the Edition Series, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
It marks the distillery's oak cask management, which oversees the whisky from the sourcing of the wood to the finished, seasoned cask. The single malt is drawn from eight styles and sizes of European and American oak cask, so the influence of the wood shows in its flavour.
