The Macallan – Edition No. 2 Single Malt Scotch Whisky (75cl, 48.2%)

The Macallan Edition No. 2 is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky without an age statement, bottled at 48.2% ABV. It is the second annual release in The Macallan's Edition series, which began in 2015 and pairs the distillery with creative collaborators from outside whisky. For this edition the collaborator is architect Rafael de Cárdenas. His interest in spatial proportion, material richness and the balance of lightness and weight, warmth and coolness informed the choice of casks. The whisky was matured in American and European sherry seasoned oak.
