The Macallan Edition No. 3 is a Speyside single malt, the third annual release in the Edition series. It is bottled at 48.3% ABV in a 75cl bottle and carries no age statement.
It was created with the Macallan whisky makers alone, without an outside creative partner. The base comes from sherry casks from the Tevasa cooperage, which give a rich, dark fruit foundation. Lighter American oak casks are balanced against it, adding freshness of citrus and ginger.
