The Macallan Harmony Collection Inspired by Intense Arabica is the second release in the distillery's annual Harmony Collection, launched in 2022. Whisky maker Steven Bremner worked with six coffee masters, taking Ethiopian Arabica as the inspiration.
This Speyside single malt was matured in sherry seasoned European and American oak casks. It is bottled at natural colour and 44% in a 700ml bottle.
The nose has espresso, roasted coffee bean, dark chocolate and sweet oak with red fruits and raisins. The palate is lush and chocolatey, with cappuccino, tiramisu and gingerbread, and the finish is toasty, with coffee and shavings of dark chocolate.
