The Macallan Litha is a limited-edition Highland single malt in a 700ml bottle, made to celebrate the Celtic midsummer festival of Litha. It was created in collaboration with artist Erica Dorn and reflects the contrast of light and dark, summer and winter.
It is matured in first-fill sherry-seasoned oak casks and American oak casks, and bottled at natural colour.
The nose has dried fruits, orange peel, honey, vanilla and soft baking spice. The palate pairs sherry sweetness with citrus zest, creamy toffee, warm oak and a hint of ginger. The finish is medium to long, with spice, dried fruit and gentle oak.
