The Macallan M Black is a peat-influenced single malt in a Lalique decanter, from the 2020 release, in a 700ml bottle at 45% ABV. It brings together the single malt and Lalique design.
The colour is golden sunrise. The nose offers dark chocolate and cherry, moving into vanilla and peat, with delicate wood spices, dried fruit and treacle. On the palate, warming wood spices and peat meet black forest fruits, opening into vanilla, dark chocolate, ginger and fig, with orange oil rising and falling alongside the peat. The finish is long, with peat smoke and raisin sweetness.
