The Macallan M Black is a 2018 release of single malt bottled at 46.5% in a 70cl black crystal decanter. The crystal is by Lalique, and the design continues the creative vision of Fabien Baron seen in the original M decanter. The whisky is a subtly smoky Macallan, of raw sienna colour.
The nose is vanilla cream with light smoke and dark chocolate. The palate opens with dried fruit and citrus before moving into sweet peat smoke, with an almondy nuttiness. It finishes long, with sweet dried fruit and peat.
