This is the 2020 release of The Macallan M Decanter, the eighth in the M range, bottled at 45% in a 70cl size. It is limited to 3055 bottles and made without added colouring.
Ten casks went into the whisky, one of them a sherry oak cask. The colour is dark amber. The nose is spiced figs, ginger and dates with baked apple, aniseed, fresh tobacco, fine oak and a touch of nut. On the palate, ginger and nutmeg sit with sweet dates, apples and oranges, dark chocolate and soft coconut. The finish is spicy and long.
