The Macallan Sherry Oak 10 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the 1990s.
The nose is clean and crisp, with gristy cereal sweetness, rubbed petals and pastry, then milk and marmalade as it opens in the glass. The palate is smooth and medium-bodied, oily and nutty, with barley, malt extract, a hint of bourbon and a creamy, rounded feel; other notes include strawberries, ginger, clove and cinnamon.
The finish is medium, with chewy oak and pepper at the end.
