The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 18 Year Old 2018 Annual Release is a Speyside single malt in a 700ml bottle at 43% ABV, with natural colour and no added caramel.
It is matured in three types of cask: European sherry seasoned oak, American sherry seasoned oak and ex-bourbon American oak. The box gives its character as orange, chocolate and woody, with the American oak adding vanilla and coconut. It is presented in a light blue box.
The nose is sweet orange peel, vanilla cream and milk chocolate with toasted oak and gentle cinnamon. On the palate there is dark chocolate orange, toffee, vanilla, dried fruit and coconut, with a warm baking spice.
