The Macklowe Kentucky Edition is an American single malt made from 100% malted barley. Macklowe Spirits produced and bottled it. The spirit was distilled in August 2019 and aged for four years.
The nose offers hedgerow flowers, sweet oak and heather honey. On the palate it is well balanced and slightly nutty, with creamy cereal notes that turn spicy, robust and warming, with vanilla and ginger emerging.
The finish is spicy and fairly powerful at first, then gradually softens into a lingering close.
