The Singleton Glen Ord 17 Year Old Into the Blue Special Release 2025 (75cl, 55.5%)

The Singleton Glen Ord 17 Year Old Into the Blue is a Highland single malt from Glen Ord Distillery at Muir of Ord on the Black Isle. It is part of the Diageo Special Releases 2025 and is bottled in a 750ml bottle at a natural cask strength of 55.5%, non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The 17 year old spirit was finished in two kinds of cask: Mexican ex-mezcal casks from Oaxaca, and second fill Spanish ex-sherry casks. The mezcal casks bring roasted agave, gentle smoke and green chilli, while the sherry casks add dried fruit and oak spice. On the nose there is golden cereal, flapjack with golden syrup, honeyed pear, baked apple and golden raisin, with a little citrus zest and agave warmth. The palate is silky and rounded, with oats and golden syrup.
