The Singleton of Glen Ord 17 Year Old is a single malt from the Glen Ord distillery, founded in 1838 on the edge of the Black Isle in the Highlands. It is part of the Diageo Special Releases 2025 and is bottled at 55.5% ABV.
The whisky was finished in ex-mezcal and second-fill sherry casks, an unusual pairing.
The nose is typically described as baked apple, pear and peach with a little honey and vanilla, then cinnamon, nutmeg and mild oak as it opens. The palate is creamy, with dried fruit, baked apple and chilli pepper alongside aromatic spice.
