The Singleton of Glen Ord 38 Year Old is a single malt bottled at 49.6% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Epicurean Odyssey series.
The whisky first matured for twelve years. A second maturation of 24 years followed in ex-bourbon casks, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and new American oak casks.
The nose is soft and generous, with red apple, mango, pineapple and candied citrus. The palate has a dense, creamy texture and a sweet start of fudge, moving to spiced, fruity notes of cinnamon baked apples. The finish is very long, with sweet warmth and a trace of ginger.
